I am a bit surprised to see "concept mapping" and "advanced organizers" under "Knowing success Criteria" - I would expect to see it elsewhere, e.g. under "Acquiring deep learning."

We debated long about where or even should we include “Knowing Success Criteria.” They are less a strategy than a teaching strategy – but those students who can articulate their goals, their personal best are so advantaged in the mix of strategies and content. Maybe they should go under skills. Putting them under ‘Acquiring Deep Learning’ is not defensible as Success Criteria can apply to both the surface and deep. Indeed in our new Feedback book (Hattie & Clarke, 2019) we advocate for two Success Criteria for each dimension – one about the surface and one about the deep parts” (John Hattie, personal communication, January 26, 2019).
