Any concrete suggestion regarding peer-to-peer feedback? and student-teacher feedback?

Too often teacher provide feedback to other teachers about ‘how to’ teach or how to create better resources, whereas the more optimal feedback is to help them evaluate their impact.  Recall Graham Nuthall’ s (2003) research where he showed about 80 percent of what happens in a class a teacher neither sees or hears – so how can other teachers aid in helping the teacher ‘see’ the other 80 percent.  As we argue in our recent book (Hattie & Clarke, 2019) on feedback, the core notions are ‘Where are we going?’ ‘How are we going?’ and most important ‘Where to next’?  Hence feedback that helps develop or query the adequacy and appropriateness of the success criteria (Where am I going?), the excellent diagnosis of students’ current capabilities and their progress (How am I going?) and critique of the next best steps in light of the diagnosis and progress (Where to next?) is the most powerful” (John Hattie, personal communication, August 19, 2018).
