What method/model should replace learning styles? Your book discusses the various phases of learning. Would I be correct to assume that this would be a preferred method to view how students learn?

Full Question: I have noted in your book Visible Learning for Teachers, and other research, that we should not be evaluating how students learn by classifying their learning according to learning styles. Where I am getting stuck is on what method/model to replace learning styles with. In chapter 6 page 104 of the above book you talk about the various phases of learning. Would I be correct to assume that this would be a preferred method to view how students learn? How would I as a teacher review my "style" of learning?

Answer: “There is no support for learning styles (kinesthetic, etc.) and has been discarded so many times…Yes, the emphasis should be on learning strategies, and how we teach students these strategies.
