What is microteaching?

Modified on Fri, 11 Oct at 4:21 PM

Microteaching involves teachers reviewing videotapes of the lesson after having taught it. Our view is that the video of the students’ reactions is much more powerful for a teacher to observe than a review of what the teacher did/said/taught. It should be all about the students’ learning and less about the teacher teaching. What did the students react to, etc.?
