We are using many technologies to help teachers see their impact. We developed the New Zealand assessment scheme for elementary and high schools based on the model – it aims to provide teachers with information about their impact and where best next. It is voluntary to use and still the majority of teachers and schools use it – 16 years after it was first introduced. I am confident that more technologies that can help teachers “hear” their learning, “hear” the student learning will be powerful” (John Hattie, personal communication, July 24, 2016).
